Demon’s Downfall, 2023, Looped animated video

“Demon’s Downfall”, the short animated video which is part of the Fiction Story “ The Shadow of Heroes: The Battle Against Demonic Forces”. The event of The Heroes Kids taking revenge on the Demon happened in this scene. This story begins with the spirits of people who existed altogether in their past lives. Their families, homes and lives were demolished by the malevolent evils who wanted to rule everything. From the ashes of this devastation, the flames of hatred and sorrow, rather than being extinguished, forged an unbreakable resolve within each departing soul. In a twist of fate, these fallen individuals were reborn as immortal extraordinary heroes to get revenge. Each carried the weight of their past lives, now ignited with an undying purpose. The rebirth of these rebellious spirits seem to be a threatened message to the demons.

Zun May is working on this story through different art forms such as mixed media installation, illustrations and animations. This “Demon’s Downfall” animated video can be seen through Augmented Reality experience portraying that each spirit from her story exists with us together in this real world even in their afterlives.

Artist Bio
Zun May Oo ( b.1999, in Yangon, Myanmar) is a freelance artist, illustrator and animator. After graduating from Yangon University of Foreign Languages, she worked at Pencell animation studio. After working on some mural projects and traditional paintings, she started to explore fine arts and mixed-media. Acrylic, mixed media, digital animations and illustrations can be found during her practice. In her artworks, she loves to express the feelings and emotions of people. Some works come from her personal life while some from her surroundings. She is currently doing the Master of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) at Chiang Mai University, Thailand.
